Banana Mancakes


These little treats are flour-less, gluten free and packed full of protein. Add fruit and seasonings to your liking!

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 banana (sliced)
  • 1 full egg
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup of gluten free oats (or regular rolled oats)
  • 1 TSP vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sprinkled to taste





Directions:
  • Mix all ingredients together in food processor or blender
  • Make cakes as pancakes in pan over medium heat
  • Enjoy 5-6 cakes, depending on your size!

What is the 21 Day Fix Extreme?


So I am sure many of you know Autumn Calabrese's first program through Beachbody, the 21 day fix. This program took health and fitness to a completely new level, providing people with exact meal plans, color coded portion control containers, grocery lists, and 30 minute workouts for any level of fitness. Well, this chick has done it again, she has taken it to the next level! I have so many fix graduates that are PROOF that this program works!


So after a few rounds of the 21 Day Fix and after crushing your initial fitness goals Autumn realized that she needed something that can take your fitness to the NEXT level!  So now we are excited to announce the launch of the brand new 21 Day Fix EXTREME!!!  Coming February 2nd to anyone who has a Team Beachbody Coach (if you don't have one, make me your coach please).




The goal of this program is to create killer results in just 21 days. The workouts are still the same, but weights and intensity are taken up a notch to create a shredded figure. The best part is that it still comes with the nurtition plan to keep you on track, as we all know, nutrition is 80% of our results and Autumn does not let us down in this area.

In this program there are two different plans for nutrition, the Extreme plan and countdown to competition. The extreme plan is the basic plan designed for this program. The countdown to competition is Autumn's specific plan that she uses to get her ready for competition figure.

21 Day Fix EXTREME is ideal for those with a dramatic short-term weight
loss deadline--such as an upcoming vacation, photo shoot, or other big event.
It's an excellent next step for

  • You do not need a lot of space to do this workout.  A 6 square foot area is all that you need.

An explosive lower-body workout that uses jumping and resistance to torch calories and sculpt

Pilates Fix Extreme
Using a resistance band for every exercise, this intense mat workout works the entire body, placing

Lets talk nutrition plan!

While the 21 day fix allowed for wine and chocolate the 21 Day fix extreme does 
not.  It is 100% clean eating for these 21 days.  You do have the option to eat out at restaurants but you still have to follow the nutritional guidelines laid out.  Just think about it this way!  You can do anything you put your mind to for 21 days.
I can say from previous experience with Insanity Max 30 that when I followed 
the nutrition plan to the T I really got amazing results.  I have never had abs 
before and they were popping out!  I really do attribute a lot of my progress to 
nutrition.  So make sure to take this part extremely serious.

What is a BFD?

Normally I write about physical health and fitness, but today I have decided to focus on mental health. Blogging has been a real outlet for me over the past year of grieving and I thought today would be the perfect day to admit that I am not perfect and the subtle art of realizing what is and what is not a BFD (big fucking deal). Before my dad passed away, I thought EVERYTHING was a BFD because I was a perfectionist and a control freak. It has taken me over a year to be able to admit this, but I was and a part of me still is. Through my grief counseling and learning what works for me in times of high stress, I have been able to really increase my ability of not giving a fuck. Please refer to this amazing article by Mark Manson,  what he explains in this really inappropriate article is how to stop letting the LITTLE things control your life. I know these are intense and probably offensive words for some readers, but I don't think anything less would get my point across. I mean I'm not perfect and I still overreact a lot, but I have gotten way better. I know a lot of people out there that were just like me, so I feel that most of you can relate to what I am saying. I have decided to break down what actually are BFDs and what are not. In my opinion anyways.

BFDs:
1. Life or death situations
2. Losing your job (or your health insurance..thank you ACA)
3. Losing a loved one
4. Terminal illness
5. I literally am just staring at this one because I think those are the only true BFDs in life.

NOT a BFD:
1. Being single
2. Your cable not working
3. Your car not starting
4. Being treated like shit by someone (because you can control that, 100%)
5. Your dog pissing on the floor
6. Running your car into a dumpster because your dog threw up on you
7. Missing a workout
8. Having an off day with your diet
9. Being stuck in traffic

I MEAN PEOPLE THERE ARE KIDS THAT AREN'T BEING FED EVERYDAY BECAUSE THERE PARENTS WOULD RATHER FEED THEIR CRACK HABIT THAN THEIR BABIES...I mean in hindsight, most of us do not have it bad.

The point of this post was that I noticed myself reverting back into old ways, making things a BFD that were by no means even close to being one. I noticed what I had worked so hard to stop doing (being a control freak, type A perfectionist), was rearing it's ugly head so I gave myself the proverbial slap in the face and decided to check myself.


When I met Tony Horton, I thanked him for giving me such a positive way to grieve (P90x3) that led to so many amazing things. He told me you have to not only take care of your body, but your mind. In that same weekend I ended a toxic relationship, got a new outlook on life, and started practicing gratitude. I started to work on not keeping things bottled up inside (still hard for me, but I am working on it and that's what is important). I don't expect to be rewarded for improving my flaws, but I am proud of them so I will continue to talk about them because you know what, they make me HAPPY and PROUD of myself.


So the point of this post is to not sweat the small stuff. If someone is mean to you, you're an adult, address it and determine if it's worth continuing. If it's not, move on there are EIGHT MILLION PEOPLE in the world, someone is going to want you for everything you are. DO NOT stress about the little things, most of life's "struggles" are easy fixes, sometimes we just need to ask for help, I know that's not easy but I've learned in the last year asking for help is the best thing you can ever do. I hope that this post did if anything, helped you realize that don't let someone or some circumstance ruin your entire day. You know why? Because that person is probably an asshole and your problem (unless it's under the BFD list) is an easy fix. You may not get a tomorrow, so don't spend time wasting your day worrying about people or circumstances that aren't going to do the same for you.

Take care of your body, but remember, always take care of your mind.

Beachbody Coaching Opportunity

I have done P90X3, Brazil Butt Lift, T25, Chalean Extreme, 21 Day Fix, Les Mills Pump, and now PiYo. I currently drink Shakeology every day and follow the clean eating lifestyle. What to expect in the 30 day coach training?

We will use a closed Facebook group to participate in the training. I will post a small assignment or piece of information pertinent to growing your business. You will post in the group daily to check in to see how you are doing. I am going to be leading you every step of the way for the first 30 days, using training developed by the number 1 coach in the company, all you have to do is show up, participate, and give 100% effort everyday to ensure you're on the road to success. You are going to be given the tools to be successful, all you have to do is use them!

So what's the cost?..

INDEPENDENT BEACHBODY COACH INFORMATION, COST?
  • A one time fee of $40 to become a beachbody coach.  This is not a yearly or reoccurring fee.  You can also get that $40 fee waived if you sign up with a challenge pack or you or your spouse is active military then that fee is waived! (I can explain those options in more depth as well).
  • A monthly website fee of $15. Beachbody gives you three canned websites where you can do some minor personalization. One site is a Beachbody coach site ,one is a  specialized Shakeology site (only available for sale through the Team Beachbody Coach network) and the third is your Ultimate Reset Site.  I have decided to create my own website and blog to share my experiences but it is not required.

To remain an active coach you need to have a Personal Volume (PV) of 50 points per month. Purchasing a month's supply of Shakeology (at a 25% discount) is 90PV for example and you're done. I agree with Team Beachbody's methodology that you need to use their product in order to be able to explain the benefits of the research they've done. Plus, their supplements actually taste a whole lot better than the other stuff I was using. Recovery drink... think orange creamsicle!
  • Benefits: 
    • You receive a 25% commission on anything somebody buys from Beachbody using one of your links. Somebody purchases a copy of P90X3, you get a check for $29.96.
    • You can, if you choose to, create a team of coaches as well.  You can create a business based off of a team of people who are passionate about the same things that you are.  I tend to attract women who are passionate about health and fitness,specifically clean eating stay at home momma's. But I also have some individuals who want to grow a business and create a full time income!  The saying you attract who you are is completely true!
    • You receive a 25% discount on all Beachbody products including merchandise. If you're using supplements today like I am, just the discount savings alone on let's say P90x Protein Bars and P90X recovery drink covers the $15 monthly website fee.
    • You get paid on a weekly basis, every Thursday morning!
    • No inventory to carry, Beachbody takes care of everything.
    • This is YOUR business, you work at your own pace..however fast or slow that is I will give you the guidance to get there!
    • Access to an entire team of experts on health and fitness.
    • Access to marketing materials and guidance on how to build your business.
    Intangibles:
    • I have found a new passion for health and fitness and have never felt better. I'm not trying to sell you that miracle pill, extreme diet, or a whole lot of vitamins you probably don't need, this is for real.  I know because I have tried everything and I can tell you right now, nothing works like exercise and proper nutrition.
